Requirements:
- Name and Address of Applicant(s).

- A power of attorney authenticated by a consulate of Honduras or by Apostille is necessary.
- Certificate of incorporation or extract from the commercial register legalized by the Honduran Consulate.
- The priority document issued by the competent autority, if you wish to claim trademark priorities.
Procedure:
- A trademark application has to be filed before the Patent Office by a local agent.
- The application process includes a formal examination and an examination of distinctiveness, but no search for prior trademarks.
- Publication on the Official Gazette within 18 months from the application. From this moment, a 90 days period for oppositions is opened.
- The opposition period is 1 month from publication date of the application.
- Time from filing to registration: 12 months.
Duration and Renewal: A trademark registration in Honduras is valid for 10 years and starts with registration date. The registration is renewable for periods of 10 years.
